Kerry McJunkins
Posted by: Webmaster in Arizona, Church Schools, Kentucky, ME-MV, Old Cases(11/16/07 - Initial BBT Report)
Kerry Lynn McJunkins, 38, of Lexington, Kentucky has been arrested on a warrant from Douglas, Arizona where McJunkins is alleged to have molested two boys in the late 1980’s.

Reportedly McJunkins was a teacher at a private school operated by the Bible Baptist church in Douglas, Arizona. At the time McJunkins was reportedly 18-years-old. One of the alleged victims was 10-years-old when the sexual abuse allegedly started in 1987. It is further alleged that McJunkins sexually abused this victim for four years.
James Pitts who reportedly has been the pastor of the Bible Baptist church in Douglas for the last 30 years says he hired McJunkins in the late 1980’s and fired him in 1991, after McJunkins became very arrogant and his behavior changed.
The alleged victim has been quoted in media reports as saying, “Everything I’ve done in my life has been affected by what he has done to me. I was threatened and I was scared, and it carries over you when you’re young and it carries with you until your older but at one point I realized he couldn’t hurt me any longer.”
The alleged victim came to this “realization” in 2006 and went to police with his complaints about McJunkins.
Little if any information has been released on the second alleged victim.
Immediately following McJunkins arrest by Lexington Police he was held on $100,000 bond. He was subsequently released on $20,000 cash bond to await an extradition hearing in which Arizona authorities will seek to have him returned to Arizona to face charges.
Reportedly police were tipped off to McJunkins’ location by his alleged victims, who tracked him down in Kentucky.
McJunkins was working at a Lexington church, but church officials indicated that his role did not put him in contact with children.

Does anyone have any info on his family and how they are doing? I worked with him for quite a while and he had issues here at work with relating to people. It was his way or the highway, there was no compromising or working with him easily. It was a dictatorship and nothing less. I worry about his wife and children. I can still remember his phone calls and his wierd control obsession. And the way he would talk to female co-workers was always awful. It was like he hated women. I never understood that and still don’t, but it seems to make more sense now.

if there was ever anyone who needed a gps bracelet it would be him. then they could “red out” the fairs, the schools, and any other place they didn’t want him to go

*spotted* mac was at the fair working in a booth. I just don’t understand why they would let him be around THAT MANY KIDS. Granted there are people there but come on…..why take that risk?

I don’t know. Frankly, I hate the fact that he’s even in a church to begin with. I don’t think anyone should be deprived of church, but I also don’t like the idea of him having access to children of any age. Do the parents of the church know? Why would any one trust him around their kids?

I’m more worried about the possible victims in his new church in Nicholasville, KY. I heard he’s up to his same old tricks there. I can understand forgiving the guy if he truly repented, but he hasn’t. Why are they trusting him?!?

there used to be a print out of the actual google searches taken from the computer that the perve used when he was in fl. he tried to use someone elses computer to look at his sick crap but the time and date of the record made it clear that it could not have been anyone else. it’s amazing how the Lord let that happen. o and by the way he later confessed to that incident and was fired.
sadly, there has to be more victims out there.

After his trial in October, that may be exactly what happens.
