Kelly Blossom

Kelly Finn Blossom, 38, a former teacher at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi has reportedly been charged with sexual battery of a 16-year-old male student.

Blossom is reportedly charged with ten counts of sexual battery.

It is alleged that Blossom carried on a several months long sexual relationship with the boy.

Blossom came to the attention of authorities in April when the boy’s parents contacted Flowood Police. On April 29th, Blossom was “released” by the school system, having worked there since August, 2008.

Earlier this month the investigation was concluded and an arrest warrant was issued for Blossom who then turned herself in to police.

Blossom is reportedly free on $25,000 bond and the case will be sent to a grand jury next month.

If convicted Blossom faces a maximum 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each of the ten counts.

    I went to college with her. I can say that she was a very straight arrow years ago. Very bright and intelligent girl who was a moral compass for many of those on campus. Having worked at Child Protection, I learned adolescents also exaggerate things. This allegation should not be taken lightly, but I have a hard time believing that it is entirely true. A teacher/ student relationship can easily be misconstrued especially if a teacher is very caring and attentive. Just my opinion.

    I had her for a year and am not surprised.

    i had her for the entire year. i personally can’t see her doing this. don’t be so quick to judge. we don’t know the full story and probably never will.

    I had her for a teacher for no longer than a couple of weeks… I had no clue she would do such a NASTY thang… She really should be ashamed of herself.. She had kids plus married she should rot in jail.. I personally feel for the 16 yr old
