Keith D. Powell, 56, a music teacher at Stuart M. Townsend Middle School in Lake Luzerne, New York has been arrested on allegations of inappropriate acts with two 14-year-old female students.
Powell has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Powell had inappropriate physical contact with the girls, kissed them and gave one of the girls $50.
Allegedly Powell admitted to police kissing one of the girls on the cheek, hugging her, grabbing a leg of the other and talking with both about their sexual histories.
Powell had been placed on paid administrative leave by the school system.
08/21/08 - Powell Charged With Possessing Child Porn
Keith Powell has been charged with three counts of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
When Powell was arrested earlier this year on allegations of inappropriate acts with two female students, his computer was seized by police. It is now being alleged that an examination of that computer revealed the presence of child pornography.
Powell has entered not guilty pleas to the new charges.
Powell retired from the school system in the wake of his first arrest.

From what I understand, Lake Luzerne also has very low S.A.T. scores as well. Looks like they need a makeover.
This is the very reason I will be homeschooling my child. Our school systems are very messed up right now.
