Not Guilty

(12/22/07 – Initial BBT Report)

Justin Robinson, 30, a teacher assistant at Canton South High School in Canton, Ohio has been arrested on allegations of having sex with a 16-year-old female student.

Robinson is charged with sexual battery, a third-degree felony.

Robinson who joined the staff of the school at the start of the current school year has been on administrative leave since the investigation began in early October.

Robinson came to the attention of authorities when school officials asked the Stark County Sheriff’s Department to investigate after hearing of an incident allegedly involving Robinson and the girl in September.

Robinson was arrested following a “secret indictment” which resulted from the investigation. Following his arrest he was held in the the Stark County Jail for almost two weeks before making $50,000 bond.

Robinson’s next court date is set for January 2nd.

NOT GUILTY

After about 45 minutes of deliberations a Stark County jury has acquitted Justin Robinson of sexual battery.

Robinson’s attorney said that his client would like to go back to his career from which he has been on administrative leave since October.

    There are a lot of people on this website and i know for a fact that Coach Clay is not one of them. I know the victim and she is a loose girl. He is a good man.

    Wow!! An acquittal!! hopefully, bad bad teacher will follow up on this and see if it was a case of a disgruntle3d student making a false accusation
