Julie Denno, 27, a former teacher at the American School for The Deaf in West Hartford, Connecticut is accused of sexually assaulting a male student over a two-month period.
Denno has been charged with second-degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor.
It is alleged that Denno sexually assaulted the student at her home in Bristol in December 2007 and January 2008.
Police have refused to specify the boy’s age although they have indicated that the boy is under the age of 16 although the Bristol Press is reporting that the boy is 15-years-old.
Julie Denno was arraigned in Bristol Superior Court and is being held on $75,000 bond.
A school spokesperson said that Denno had been fired by the school months ago when administrators learned of the investigation.

I am so very sorry for all the people involved this case. The victim, his family and Julie as well.
I first met Julie in Rhochester while she was going to college with my daughter and son in-law.
She was a young woman who was mixed up and pregnant. She has a history of making bad choices.
There is no excuse for Julies behavior. She knows what right from wrong and she did something unexcusable . The victims parents are well within their rights to want her arrested.Still it doesn’t mean that my heart doesn’t hurt for her.She was a lonely young lady living away from family trying to raise a small baby alone. Sometimes one can actually be lonely enough to behave stupidly. The saddest victim is the smallest person in this senerio Julie’s baby, God please watch over him…..
