Peter Rabbit - Oh, and regarding your ridiculous comments on the Margaret Keely issue:
I guess you don’t recall your OWN WORDS, “unless it is proven that she directly assisted her husband she should be found not guility”
That isn’t the issue. The issue is whether or not she knew that a crime against a child was committed and neglected to report it. You don’t seem to think that this is a serious issue worthy of legislation - you only think she should be found guilty if she “directly” assisted.
The idea that a “teacher” (as you claim to be) doesn’t understand this responsibility is truly frightening.

Peter Rabbit - I’m glad I’m glad that I’m not the only one that is horrified by the prospect of someone with your opinions having children under their care.
As a teacher it is hard to imagine that you don’t understand what is plainly obvious to the rest of the planet. Teenagers are capricious. Teenagers lack the life experience and maturity to make responsible decisions, ESPECIALLY regarding sex. This is why they are afforded protection UNDER THE LAW.
Despite this most obvious of truths you continually make the claim that underage students share equal blame for these crimes. That is twisted and irresponsible thinking on your part.
It leads one to wonder why a “teacher” so vehemently proclaims over and over again that “it’s the girl’s fault!” Something you’ve been burnt over perhaps?

Peter Rabbit, all I can say is that I pray thay you never teach any of my children. The way you keep saying “these students that sex their teachers are not all innocent” just amazes me. I am a male teacher and as such it is my responsibility as the adult to not allow the students to “sex me”. You are nuts and I sure hope your 30 years comes up really quickly so you can get the heck out of teaching b/c you sure don’t belong in the classroom any longer. THESE ARE KIDS. TEENAGERS AT THAT. You should know that by definition that makes them all STUPID when it comes to making rational decisions. I don’t care if every female student in class wanted to jump my bones and signed a notarized statement saying so, IT IS MY JOB AND RESPONSIBILITY AS THE ADULT/TEACHER to not allow this to happen. IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THEY ALL BEGGED FOR IT AND CRIED UNTIL THE TEACHER GAVE IN. In the end the TEACHER IS THE ONE WHO IS WRONG. END OF STORY. Any other opinion that you are entitled to is just a bunch of B/S like everything I have seen you say about any of these cases.

Mr. Peter Rabbit -
You are one crazy rabbit at times and you seem burnt out from teaching. I understand some of your points, but come on, these are kids. I do believe that not all victims are really victims, but the majority of them are. I’m not a teacher, but I am a licensed teacher in several states. I believe I know which school district you are from based on some of your writing last month about a teacher at your school. I won’t say anything because you are entiled to your opinion. If I’m correct on where you teach then we live in the same state.
I plan on following your writings and rambling, but keep in mind that the victims and their families also read this site.

Somebody,
I took a sick day today. I don’t want to spread germs around the school, and I have leaves to rake. And I’m in a union so it doesn’t matter what the school boards thinks about my point of view. I have 2 master degrees, I’m at the top of the pay scale, I do my job, put my time in and can’t wait until retirement. I’m almost at 30 years. Where are you?
There are two or more opinions to everything, not just yours. There is no proof that Margaret Keely knew her husband was molesting the student. She knew he was a sex offender and should have thought it through before have the girl over. He paid his dues, and now he’ll have to pay them again. Why should she if she wasn’t aware of his actions?
All the students that sex their teachers are not as innocent as a lot of you may think. Very few of them are victims, if victims at all. You guys have to wake up and get a clue.

Peter Rabbit - didn’t you claim to be a teacher on another post? Yeah, you did. I’m sure your school board would be interested to hear your points of view. You say that a 16 year old student is equally responsible in these instances? Ridiculous. And on the Margaret Keely page you state that you don’t think she should get in trouble for knowing that her husband was molesting a child and not reporting it. Either you are incredibly ignorant of the laws that teachers are required to know and uphold or you are twisted and arrogant to the point where you feel like you should only apply them as you see fit.
I doubt you are a teacher but if you are, you are the epitome of loser that infests our profession.

How many kids do you know that wouldn’t be crying walking into a court to testify about having sex? As a parent I’m in complete disbelief that anyone would be ignorant enough to believe that he is not to blame and even more ignorant to post your twisted beliefs. If he is so innocent and she is just a big liar then why has it gotten this far? Most people who have any kind of evidence to prove their innocence are aquitted at the preliminary hearing. . .why would you want to waste time and money going through a trial if you are innocent and have the evidence to prove so? Maybe that’s the reason so many doubt you Josh. . .you have the opportunity to throw this case out the door, but you don’t? You would rather go to trial? It doesn’t make any sense, so you can’t blame those who want to see you put away. . .you’ve proven nothing and continue to look completely guilty.

Titan, You have an excellent point. Why can minors be charged as adults and be tried as adults in courts, but minors who have sex with teachers are always considered minors and are refered to as victims. What’s up with that?
