Jonathan Jens, 36, a geography teacher and boys’ basketball coach at Indian Land Middle School in Fort Mill, South Carolina has reportedly been arrested and charged on allegations of the sexual abuse of a female student.
Jens is reportedly charged with three felony counts of lewd act upon a child under 16.
It is alleged that Jens hugged and kissed the girl in the class room, during a break in classes.
It is further alleged that the girl told police that Jens kissed her on the mouth, kissed her neck, removed her shirt and fondled her and placed his hands inside her pants and fondled her buttocks while lying on a sleeping bag in a wooded area near her home in late May.
Jens came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim reportedly ran away from home. When police found the girl, she allegedly told them that she ran away because she was distraught over a relationship with Jens.
12/17/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Reportedly, Jonathan Jens has pleaded guilty to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, admitting improperly touching a 12-year-old female student.
As part of the plea deal, three felony counts of performing a lewd act on a child were dropped.
Jens received a 10-year suspended sentence including three years in prison and five years of probation. He is required to register as a sex offender and is prohibited from having any contact with the victim or the victim’s family.

i relly dont know what to think. i had the teacher across from the hall and i heard jens was kinda creepy but i didnt hink much of it. yea i no who the girl was but i didnt talk to her. i heard stuff on the last day of shcool of 7th grade bout it.
ok yea to that girl who sat beside her in class sorry but that is just the story that alot of people told me….even a person in your grade….but whatever…he confessed so it doesnt matter….he still did it.
