(05/22/09 – Initial BadBadTeacher.com Report)

Jonathan Allen McPhee, 35, a former Spanish teacher at Woodland Park High School in Woodland Park, Colorado has reportedly been arrested on allegations of possession of child pornography.

Reportedly, McPhee turned himself in to Colorado Springs Police on Friday and is facing one count of sexual exploitation of a child, which is a class four felony.

McPhee came to the attention of authorities when in February someone found a notebook allegedly belonging to McPhee filled with written fantasies about sex with children. Investigators were allegedly able to link the found notebook to McPhee.

It is alleged that during the course of the investigation that investigators found what is being described as “several hundred images” of child pornography that McPhee had downloaded onto a computer. Thus far police have not revealed the location of the computer on which the illicit images were allegedly found.

After being booked into the El Paso County jail, McPhee was reportedly released after posting a $3,000 bond.

McPhee, who was placed on administrative leave early in February when the investigation began, resigned shortly thereafter.
