Jon White

Jon Andrew White, a former second-grade teacher at Thomas Paine Elementary School in Urbana, Illinois, accused of molesting 9 of his female students has has pleaded guilty in Champaign County Court to 8 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

In exchange for his guilty plea prosecutors dismissed an additional 8 counts against White.

White is also charged in McLean County where his is accused of molesting 2 female students at Colene Hoose Grade School in Normal, Illinois prior to his teaching in Urbana. White entered a guilty plea there also. White faces up to 14 years in prison as a result of his pleas in McLean County.

White will be sentenced in Champaign County in April and he reportedly faces up to 56 years in prison there.

04/04/08 - Sentencing

In Champaign County, Jon White has been sentenced to 48 years in prison on eight counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of young girls.

A clinical therapist who works exclusively with sex offender testified at White’s sentencing hearing that White was a “moderate to severe” risk to commit additional sexual crimes.

White still faces sentencing in McLean County on two counts of criminal sexual abuse involving students at Unit Five’s Colleen Hoose School.

04/29/08 - McLean County Sentencing

In McLean County, Jon White has been sentenced to an additional 12 years in prison.

White was sentenced on two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse for acts that happened with then 6 and 7-year-old girls while he was a teacher at Colene Hoose Elementary School in Normal.

    I bet he now wishes he was a woman. If he had been one, he probably would’ve gotten no more than 5 to 10 yrs max. He will be spending most of his life in jail like he deserves to be. Too bad the same punishment isn’t handed out to his female counterparts.
