John Maddy, 34, former band director at Narrows High School in Narrows, Virginia has been arrested on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a female student who turned 17-years-old during the time of the alleged relationship.
Maddy is currently facing a total of 13 felony and five misdemeanor charges.
The nature of the charges reportedly range from crimes against nature, sodomy, to taking indecent liberties with a child.
It is alleged that the illicit relationship took place between Valentine’s Day and August 1st of this year during which time the girl had her 17th birthday. It is alleged that Maddy gave the girl a card which said, “I love you” for the occasion.
Following his arrest Maddy was being held without bond and is expected to make an initial court appearance this week.

No doubt he is sorry! BUT…this 17 year old was not a child…poor little child. NOT IN THE LEAST! 12 year old girls are having sex. what is this world coming too.

i use to go to nhs. and ive personally seen all this mess. first hand. honeslty to the people that say she is a victim. then you don’t know anything. shes old enough to know what shes doing. and if you think your daughter would never do anything like that. then i guess you don’t know your daughter too well. cause i think every girl wants attention from older guys that they think are hott. so yeah. he gave her the attention that she wanted. and i know every girl hides a guy that she loves from her parents turns out he was over the age limit. and when you walk in on her sitting on his lap. yeah you know something is up. so all you that say she is a victim.no. she liked. no loved every minute of it. personally there both wrong. not for the age. but he had a beautiful wife. and two kids that i knew personally. thats where he messed up. and she went a ruined a great family. thats where they messed up!!!!!!!!!!

It saddens me very much to hear about John Maddy’s decision. Sadly I can’t say though that i didn’t see it coming. Every time I was around John Maddy I always got a strange feeling that something wasn’t quite right their. He made a big mistake.
Does this make him a crazed sexual predator? No. Well by state laws it does make him a sexual predator but I digress. Does this make the 17 year old girl (whom shall remain nameless) a complete victem? By state standards yes but by moral standards not exactly. Both John and Ms. Jane Doe are both equally held responsible in my opinion over what happened. In many cases teenagers around the age of 15 to 17 are tried in courts as an adult because they are old enough to understand what they did wrong. We can’t just simply state that she is an adult if she gets in trouble but only a kid if she is the victem. Sorry, you can’t have your cake and eat it as people would say.
All that can be hoped for now is that John Maddy’s sentence is taken lightly and nobody else is hurt by this whole scenario.
