John Erickson, 62, of Alta, California a teacher’s aide at Alta Dutch Flat School has been arrested on an allegation of committing lewd acts with a child.
Erickson is accused of exposing himself to one child
Reportedly Erickson is a retired teacher who went back to the classroom as a teacher’s aide for an hour a day.
A warrant was issued for his arrest last Thursday morning. Erickson turned himself in Thursday afternoon and was subsequently released on bail.
The school principal said she became aware of the allegation of misconduct on October 30 and immediately alerted Placer County authorities who initiated an investigation. Erickson was removed from the school campus and the children in the classroom in which he worked were interviewed.
Erickson reportedly owns a Christmas tree farm in the vicinity of the school.

Marlars, I doubt a tree is upsetting people, except you that is. Innocent until proven guilty. It does not upset me.

There are several inacuracies with the previous response.
First, John moved from the property on November 17th, 2007.
Second, He is not receiving nor did he receive any profits after he moved.
Third, the process to remove his name from the title has been a very lengthy process and has included many legal steps that involve appraisers, attorneys and other professionals. It all takes time but is nearing completion.
Fourth, he did serve a certain amount of time in County jail but was released on probation in mid-june of 2008. This is part of public records.
In the future, I would suggest that the current owners of the property or their attorney be contacted so that correct information can be passed along rather than wild accusations and half-truths.

The students were not interviewed! and he is still driveing around in our town free. He should have gone to prison, I was a student at the alta dutch flat school and I had beeen told he dosent own the tree farm anymore which is a crock of (****)!! I ran a property profile and he still gets profit and there is now way he could have sold that tree farm so fast. Thats is why right after the incident I had put a sign on my street (the same street as his tree farm) on my property that said boycott the tree farm even though more people went down there and people from my school in MY class were working for him, a PEDOPHILE! Then not to long after that. In the forth grade class in which the students that had been touched or exposed or whatever, was a tree from his tree farm. so that they can come into class everyday and look at that tree and be reminded of what he did to them. My family had offerd to replace the tree from a differnt tree farm nicely. but the supperintendent Debbie sandoval refused so my famliy said either the pedophile tree gos or we go. She said the tree stays. So we switch schools. now its been a year and I have been hearing from numerous peopel that he is in prison which I dont know is true or not. I think not because a mounth ago we saw him walking in auburn by bel air and the fashion bug. So dont belive what other people in my town tell you about him.
