(04/10/08 - Initial BBT Report)
John Calvin Brasfield, 55, a vocational teacher at South Stokes High School in Walnut Cove, North Carolina has been arrested and charged with taking indecent liberties with a female student.
The incident is alleged to have happened sometime in March.
Reportedly Brasfield has been suspended without pay by the school system.

If it’s true that the female ‘victim’ accused another teacher of this in the past and it was proven she wasn’t telling the truth, her credibility is lost. There needs to be physical proof that he did something with/to her in order to be convicted.

How can a website just put crap up like this! you dont know anything about John Brasfield, or the young attention seeking gurl who said that! I DO I know them both through and through! AND JOHN BRASFIELD IS INNOCENT NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME IS! I MEAN ITS JUST A LITTLE FUNNY THAT EVERYONE HATED HER SO BAD AFTER SAYING THIS THAT SHE HAD TO MOVE! THAT PROVES RIGHT THERE THAT EVERYONE LOVED THIS MAN HE WAS SO MUCH MORE THAN ALL THE ORDIANRY TEACHERS HE WAS THE BEST THERE WAS! So to everyone on here saying he is guilty just because you read the top of the page then get over yourself you dont know him, or her so until you do dont judge!

Hmmm…if he is so “innocent” why are he and his attorneys stalling to keep this from going to trial? Stall all you will, you will have to face the music sometime.

All I have to say is the same girl accused a Middle School PE teacher of the same thing. Nothing ever came of that accusation. We all know the type of student she is.

No. He didn’t do this. There’s no way. If you want to find the truth and an actual statement from people that genuinely believe and know in their hearts that this man is completely innocent go to http://www.johnbrasfield.net There you will find honest opinions and not from judgmental people that don’t know the whole story and don’t care to. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty anyways? I guess that flew out the window as soon as the media caught wind of this allegation. Makes me sick to think that an innocent man has to go through this hell. Utterly sick.

I will never believe he did this. I grew up around his family and I don’t have a shadow of doubt that he did this. I would let him watch my kids in a heartbeat.

I am a long time family friend of the Brasfield’s. It makes me sick to my stomach that such an accusation has been made. There is no proof that the girl is telling the truth. I hope that this web-site checks on these cases after they have gone to court. It is a shame that you could not wait until that time to post these things. Who knows how many of the people listed on these sites are actually not guilty and yet their names and information are still here.

And by the same token who knows how many of the people listed here have victimized others who have yet to come forward and who will do so as a result of the attention this and other sites bring to the issue and the many cases of school employee/student sex abuse each year?

Since this site went on-line on May 17th of last year 342 cases have been closed as guilty while only 8 have been closed as not guilty, an additional 8 have been closed as charges dismissed and one closed as the accused is deceased and therefore presumed innocent. Some of those cases which were dismissed were refiled in the same jurisdiction, were filed in federal court, taken to a grand jury and so forth.

It is the policy of this site to follow cases from arrest through final adjudication. It doesn’t always turn out that way, but at least we try.
