Jimmy Lee Taylor, 56, a former teacher and coach at Onalaska High School in Onalaska, Texas has been arrested and charged with several counts of indecency with a child.

It is alleged that Taylor, who coached 7th through 11th grade girls athletics and taught geography and health, inappropriately touched five girls in his athletics class.

Reportedly Taylor came to the attention of school officials in November however police were not notified of the accusations against Taylor until March. A school spokesperson said that Taylor resigned to retire in March. Police are investigating why there was a delay of several months in their being notified of the accusations.

Taylor is reportedly free on bond.
