Jessica Bailey Wishnask, 27, a former 8th grade English language arts teacher at Pactolus Elementary School in Greenville, North Carolina has been arrested after police allegedly found her in the back seat of a car with a 15-year-old boy at 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
Reportedly, Wishnask is charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor.
Investigators are attempting to determine if the alleged victim was ever a student of Wishnask.
Reportedly, Wishnask resigned from Pactolus Elementary School on Monday.
Prior to coming to her most recent teaching position, Wishnask taught language arts to seventh graders at Williston Middle School in Wilmington, North Carolina. She reportedly resigned from that position for “personal reasons” in December. Reportedly, Wishnask was twice suspended while working at that school. Prior to that position, Wishnask reportedly taught language arts and science at Warsaw Middle School in Duplin County, North Carolina. In total, Wishnask reportedly worked at three schools over the course of 5 years.
Following her arrest, Wishnask was reportedly taken to New Hanover County Jail and subsequently released on bond.

A 15-year-old boy allegedly found having sexual contact with a former Williston Middle School teacher Saturday was a student at the school during the teacher’s tenure, the StarNews has learned.
06/04/09 – Additional Charges Filed
Jessica Wishnask was jailed again today, the result of additional charges being filed.
At a news conference today, New Hanover County District Attorney Ben David announced that charges of statutory rape, a felony, and dissemination of harmful material, a misdemeanor were filed against Wishnask. David said the new charges are not from a new incident.
Wishnask made her first appearance on the new charges in District Court in New Hanover County this afternoon.
The district attorney said the investigation is continuing and other charges are possible.
DA David said Wishnask may have committed other illegal acts with the youth in other jurisdictions, including possibly crossing state lines and could face a possible kidnapping charge.
Wishnask is currently being held in the New Hanover County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bond with her next court appearance set for June 18th.
06/18/09 – Court Hearing Delayed
Jessica Wishnask was scheduled for a court hearing today.
However that hearing was continued and no date has yet been set.

To nhcs: Why would any principal write a letter of recommendation to a known pedophile? And what good would such a letter do? Once you are charged with a crime against children, you are forbidden to go anywhere near a school. You ought to be able to answer that question. You seem to know everything that’s going on in that town all the time.
