Webmaster’s note: Unfortunately the link above does not work, however it will take one to the Colorado sex offender registry where they can search for the record for Jeremy Dennis. Hopefully someone can turn up a link to a news report or court record containing information on his conviction. We have searched in the “usual places” and find no news media mention of a conviction/guilty plea, although there obviously was one.
Does anyone know what ever happened to him?
It looks like the theme from many of the posts here is that this guy has had a problem for years. Since high school from what I see.
What college was he expelled from? (See post 29). If he had been stopped back then, there would be less damage done now.
To Mom of Survivor, as I said before I know that Dennis should be punished for his actions, i just do not get why they had to change their story and say that he locked the door and there was no way for them to get away. They came back every day. That is the only point i was trying to make
To It’s Not Only His Fault, are you serious??? The man held a position of authority. It doesnt’ matter what his students did or did not do to provoke him, he should’ve said no and reported their behavior to his administration. These girls are children. Have a little bit of respect for the victims of this crime.
I know what dennis did is really wrong, but what many people do not know is that the “victims” also carried fault in this. I know some of the victims personally and I know that they wanted this relationship with jeremy. The victims were also really close friends and that is how they all got involved with jeremy in the first place. After the first friend got involved with him the others found ways to spend more time with him to get closer. The victims also said that he locked the doors while they were together and they could not get away from him, however, they did not want to leave and actually came back to him everyday. I know that jeremy should get punished for his actions, but his punishment should take in account that the victims never said no and wanted to be with him.
I also knew Jeremy from high school. He was one year my senior. When myself and a couple other friends attened drama after school he was always around everyone making vulgar comments and I had always had a vibe that he was creepy and when the feeling intensified I left drama and always kept my distance from him in the halls. This really bothers me being a mother of two. Knowing that pedis can be anyone is very alarming to me. I will be sending my oldest to school starting this fall and i intend on being very much apart of my childens school experience because of guys like this. I really became alarmed beacuse this was someone i actually knew. Since we cant get tougher background checks on teachers I will do my best to keep this from potentally happing to my kids. I am very sorry to the victum(s) and the family(ies)
Wow. I must be out of the loop because a friend of mine just told me about this today. I knew Jeremy personally in high school. He was always kind of weird and perverted like that and when my friend told me, it really didn’t surprise me. It’s sad almost that he had taken this kind of turn in his life. But again, not really surprising from the Jeremy I knew. I find it a little sad too that he has some of his students defending him. You never really know your teachers. Many of them are much different from a personal standpoint than from a teaching standpoint. Unfortunately, many high school students don’t think of this. I will pray for the victim and her family.
