Jennifer Simard, 24, an on-call substitute teacher’s aide in the Goffstown School District, in Goffstown, New Hampshire has been indicted by a Hillsborough County grand jury, arrested and jailed on two counts of prohibited use of computer services.
It is alleged that Simard had sexually explicit online conversations with a boy who is younger than 16-years-old during the months of August and September.
The grand jury indictment also alleges that Simard discussed with the boy how he could keep his parents from finding out about them.
Reportedly Hillsborough County Attorney Marguerite Wageling yesterday dropped four similar counts filed against Simard after researching state law.
Simard will remain in jail until her arraignment Monday.
A school spokesperson said Simard had been told before the academic year started that her services were no longer needed and she was not allowed on school property.
09/29/08 - Arraignment
Jennifer Simard was arraigned this morning and bail was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
If Simard makes bail she is prohibited from using computers and from any contact minors.
It was revealed that prosecutors allege that Simard and the boy exchanged 16,000 text messages. It was also revealed that Simard’s husband alerted the boy’s parents of the alleged contacts between Simard and the boy.

Nasty! I went to School with Jen and I must say I’m shocked!!! Who does that?! I feel bad for Jens husband and The parents of this CHILD. If I were the kids parents I would press charges against her…. thats so wrong on so many levels!

well it was a rumor but we all kinda knew it wouldn’t be after a while! it’s not that hard to figure out, she was relly pritty, and he is jacked! so why the heck not? well maybe the age could tell you why not, sorry i feel that jen should not be the only one getting punished. the boy thinks he “loved” her. talk to him what can you do? but love the cutie back!?!??!

Obviously there was actual sexual activity. A woman and male weren’t sending each other 16000 text messages, without some type of physical follow-up in mind.

I go to that school too, and its shocking but the kids arnt surprised it was a rumor like all last year haha and all the guys think she is wicked hot cause she wears like Hollister clothes and stuff. What a creep though who would have thought that the first big case of sexual abuse towards a child from goffstown would be from a women im surprised it wasn’t a few other male teachers. Jakes guy friends probably think hes the man cause he made it with a teacher hes like their hero.

she was a teacher at my school. the boy is my friend. (Deleted by site moderator) and all the kids new but no one cares. she was also my cherrleading coach. they had sex at golds gym once lol.

Surely they had unlimited texting, but then some people aren’t very smart. Like this women, she left a paper trail miles long. I also think some hands on action happened, 16000 texts and no touching is hard to believe.

I hope they had unlimited texting on their cell plan. At ten cents a pop that’s a lot of money. Maybe that’s how he found out?
