Jenna Ashley Herrmann, 23, a teacher’s assistant at Pittsville Elementary and Middle School in Pittsville, Maryland has been charged with multiple counts of offenses arising from an alleged sexual relationship with a student.
Herrmann, a Salisbury University intern, is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old male student over a two month period starting in October.
Herrmann who is being held on a $100,000 bond has been suspended from her duties and put on suspension by the university.
State’s Attorney Davis Ruark says that the alleged sexual abuse took place at the student’s home in Parsonsburg and at Herrmann’s Salisbury apartment.
There are reportedly three witnesses to the alleged sexual relationship. One witness says that the 14-year-old sent him cell phone pictures of Herrmann and the teen having sex and that Herrmann personally sent him nude photos of herself and that Herrmann invited him to have sex with her.
A second witness told investigators that she was aware Hermann and the 14-year-old were having sex while a third witness told detectives that he had first-hand knowledge of the boy and Herrmann having a sexual relationship and that she had asked him if he wanted to have sex with her also.
Reportedly the alleged victim has withdrawn from the Pittsville school and is attending a different school.
2/23/08 - Guilty Plea
On Friday Jenna Ashley Herrmann pleaded guilty to third-degree sex offense for having sex with a 14-year-old boy.
As part of the plea deal prosecutors dropped four other counts of third-degree sex offense against Herrmann.
Herrmann was sentenced to five years in prison with four of those years suspended. She will serve 1 year in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
As part of her sentence Herrmann must undergo drug and alcohol treatment, she must have a mental health evaluation and is prohibited from any contact with the victim or any unsupervised contact with male minors.

Freak that’s for sure. Hmmmmmm…. Let me see. A 23 yr old cute college girl and yet she’s sleeping with a kid. How pathetic is she. There are guys 18 yrs old on campus have one of them. Hell there are some 23 yr olds that act like 14. But at least they are of age. She just a sick, pathetic girl that got a slap on the wrist. Typical.
