Jason W. Stalnaker, a former teacher at Capitol Baptist School in Dover, Delaware has been arrested on 295 charges linked to the sexual abuse of a student for over 2 years.
The sexual abuse is alleged to have occurred during 2002 and 2003 and the alleged victim was a female student of Stalnaker and 15-years-old.
Bond for Stalnaker has been set at $1.3 million.
Police say there may be other victims and ask anyone with information to call them at 302-736-7103.
09/12/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Jason Stalnaker has pleaded guilty to a single count of second-degree rape and two counts of fourth-degree rape.
Stalnaker was sentenced to 17 years in prison to be followed by 2 years of work release and 4 years of probation.
Stalnaker must serve 10 years in prison before he can be considered for release.
At the hearing the victim told the court, “I don’t like to be touched, not even hugged. I live in fear every day that he will kill me and my family if he’s ever free again”.
Regarding Stalnaker’s crimes the judge said, “From my review of this case this really has been about as despicable behavior as can be imagined”.
Stalnaker begged for forgiveness and his father begged for leniency for his son.

Jason did what Jason wanted to do. Where were the parents during this time? Her dad (Deleted by site moderator), did he not see that something was wrong? Why did he let a single girl ride alone on the bus every week with a married man?
She forgot to mention that she cried continuously when the family decided to move out of the area. Didn’t the other church members have a right to know what was going on for the safety of their children? I agree that Jason should pay for what he has done, but there are some questions about the girl that I wonder about. (I know the girl and her family.) I hope everyone involved will get help, and everyone not involved will learn a huge lesson about leaving a child unattended with an adult who is not their parent.

when all of this is over and done with.from what i read here-the girl will certainly file a civil suit. her thing is from what she said in court-i dont like 2 be touched etc-i am just waiting for a civil suit 2 follow.i guess they will get this teachers last dollar.

Jason was sentenced to 17 years in the clink yesterday.
Him and Jerry got self-righteous with the judge and she threw the book at him. Couldn’t happen to a better person.

I think he did it- stalnakers need to make amends teach no sunday schools or be anywhere involved at any church except to attend one.
They can deny all they want the school he graduated from turns out deliquents by the dozen.
