(04/11/08 - Initial BBT Report)
Jason Garant Perkins, 38, a former social studies teacher at Woods Charter School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina has been charged with 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Perkins came to the attention of authorities when he allegedly solicited an undercover officer online on Febuary 13.
The current charges against Perkins result from the alleged discovery of images of a young girl engaged in sexual acts alone and with an adult male on Perkins home computer.
Following his arrest Perkins was released on a $250,000 bond conditioned upon his not having contact with anyone under the age of 18 without supervision.
Perkins resigned from the school one day before charges were filed.

i dont care if he did do a crime he was a great teacher and has given more to society than deserved none of u ppl who dont no him would acknowledge that but i dont expect u to woodscharter luvs u mr. P and hope good will find u

i refuse to belive this i was his student when he TAUGHT at cape look out, iv met his family , i helped them move on one occasion and i know for a fact and would bet my lfe on that ths is ether fake or bull (****), (****) like this (******) me off, never once did any one actually see this coming in fact all those other ppl i know from cape were just (******) that he inforced our rules….

Some of my best high school memories are in mr perkins class he was a kick ass teacher i mean yeah what he did was wrong but damn he could teach and he made sure you always knew your (****) so holla perkins from the capelookout mafia

Say what you will, I don’t care. Mr. Perkins was the best teacher I have and ever will see.
What he did in his spare time doesn’t matter to me at all, what matters is he didn’t involve us in his stuff and he was the BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER SEEN.
So, yeah, whatever.

Hey Mr. Cool, slick teacher, I guess finally you learned that if you Play you will Pay. And I hope you pay, people like you are bad news for children and you need to be put somewhere, so kids won’t have to worry about one more professional looking guy who has an agenda. Protect our kids.

he was the best teacher i have ever had and he is not a “bad bad teacher” and if i could i would try to testify the charges.
