James Stafford, 25, a seventh-grade teacher at Corner Lakes Middle School in Orlando, Florida has been arrested on suspicion of soliciting sex from a 14-year-old female student.
It is alleged that Stafford obtained the girl’s cellphone number off a piece of paper that she passed to another student in class. It is further alleged that Stafford sent the student several text messages of a sexual nature over the course of 24 hours, starting on February 26.
When the girl dialed the number sending her the text message, she recognized the voice on the greeting as Stafford’s. The following day to be certain, she sent a text message to the number while in Stafford’s class and watched him reply. The girl then went to school administrators and showed them the text messages.
When detectives searched Stafford’s phone records they allegedly found three pages of messages sent to the 14-year-old.
Stafford, who reportedly denied the accusations initially, has allegedly confessed to authorites. Stafford has been arrested on a charge of lewd or lascivious conduct on a person under 17 and following his arrest was being held without bond.
Stafford, in his first year at the school, has been placed on paid administrative leave. Stafford’s wife also works at the same school and is currently pregnant.

I agree with the above. They are going to love him in jail. He will be on the bottom of the totem poll. I hope he likes being a “girlfriend.”

It is an embarrassment to not only his family but this school district. If his wife stays with him….she is just as insane as he is. You have to be crazy to even think about taking advantage of a teenage girl let alone do it AND use the excuse, “my wife was pregnant.” BOO HOO HOO>>…not for him….but for the girl who was subjected to his inappropriate adult mannerisms. Their gonna love him in jail.
