(Australia) A teacher from the NSW central coast who was caught in bed with one of her pupils has pleaded guilty to having a lesbian affair with a minor. The woman was doing a practical teaching placement at a Lake Macquarie high school in 2006 when she began having sex with the 15-year-old pupil, Newcastle Local Court heard yesterday. The teacher, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was aged 19 or 20 at the time and the affair continued after she left the school, the Newcastle Herald reports. Link
(U.K.) Brett Meeds, 28, who taught at Northgate High School, in Dereham, and the town’s sixth form college from 2005 to earlier this year is in ruins after he formed sexual relationships with three girls – one aged 15 and two aged 16. (Canada) Brian Douglas Nickel, a Spruce Grove teacher who admitted having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student last year had hidden a camera in his classroom desk to film female students, a Stony Plain court heard Tuesday. The camera captured images of the students’ leg and groin areas. The images do not constitute child pornography and Brian Douglas Nickel is not facing charges for them, but Crown prosecutor Craig Krieger said they demonstrate the “intensity” of Nickel’s interest in teenage girls. (India) Rajesh Shukla, a eacher of a private school in an Uttar Pradesh village has been accused of forcibly stripping a 10-year-old girl student and photographing her on his mobile phone, police said Wednesday. Shukla Tuesday allegedly molested the Class 5 student of Swamy Harihar School in Mahmoodpur village of Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district, some 250 km from Lucknow. He was absconding. Link
