(Australia) Amanda Louise Thompson, 28, who is accused of pursuing an illegal relationship with a student while she was a teacher at a school south of Brisbane is currently on trial. She has pleaded not guilty to one count of maintaining an unlawful relationship with a child between April 2003 and 2005. It’s alleged the relationship started when the girl was just 14 years old. (U.S. – California) Helix High School officials are calling for the resignation of a Grossmont Union High School District board member who recently accused Helix of covering up teacher-student sex scandals, it was reported Friday. But the board member says he won’t budge. Link
(Israel) The teacher accused of having sex with one of her students was released by the Rishon Lezion Magistrate court on Friday and placed under a six-day house arrest. The teacher denied the allegations against her, and claimed that one of her female students fabricated the whole story. Link
