(Canada) Abbotsford police have charged a high school teacher with one count of sexual exploitation and one count of luring.
Martin Careen, a 49-year-old teacher at St. John Brebeuf Regional Secondary School, a Catholic school in the Fraser Valley, is on paid administrative leave and has pending a court date, according to a press release. Link
(Oklahoma, US) A lawsuit claims that a church-operated school in Oklahoma was negligent in not preventing or stopping abuse by a former teacher.

(United Kingdom) FORMER PE teacher Tim Blake-Bowell, who led a secret double life as a male prostitute and brothel manager, has been jailed for nine months.

(Arkansas, US) A former Greenwood teacher convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student has asked the state to commute her sentence.
Deanna Bobo, 41, is serving a 12-year sentence at the state’s McPherson Unit for her 2006 conviction. In the commutation request, Bobo acknowledged for the first time that she had sex with the student twice after school hours and away from school grounds. Link
