Hubert Eugene Crosby, 47, a former substitute teacher and athletic coach at Reynolds and Mount Tabor High Schools in Winston-Salem, North Carolina who is already facing sex charges for alleged offenses against two boys has been charged with additional crimes against a third.
Crosby was arrested in May of this year and charged with four counts of indecent liberties with a student, three counts of indecent liberties with a child, three counts of sex offense with a student and one count of promoting prostitution of a minor. The crimes were allegedly committed over a four year period and began when the victim was 15-years-old.
The new allegations include two new charges of taking indecent liberties with a student; another 15-year-old boy.
Crosby remains in the Forsyth County Jail where he has been since his May arrest, with bond set at $1.25 million.
05/19/08 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Hubert Eugene Crosby has accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to one count of promoting the prostitution of a minor, three counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of indecent liberties with a student.
As a result of Crosby’s guilty pleas he was sentenced to prison for a period of seven to nine years.
Crosby will also be required to serve five years of probation to be followed by 10 years of wearing a monitoring bracelet that allows him to be tracked by satellite.
