(10/26/07 – Initial BBT Report)
Holly Anna Hatcher, 25, a teacher at Gallatin High School, in Gallatin, Tennessee, has been arrested on six counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.

It alleged that Hatcher carried on a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.
Allegedly Hatcher admitted to police that she had sex with the boy on six occasions, four times in September and twice in October, with some of the alleged activity taking place in both Gallatin and in Nashville. The sexual activity in Gallatin allegedly took place at a boat ramp. The sexual activity in Nashville allegedly took place at Hatcher’s home.
Hatcher was arrested and subsequently released on $6,000 bail in Nashville. She was released on $15,000 bail in Sumner County.
Prior to teaching at Gallatin High School, Hatcher previously taught at Mt Juliet High School in Wilson County.
In some reports Hatcher has been identified as a social studies teacher, in others as a history teacher and volleyball and softball coach. The school web site indicates she is a social studies teacher.
News media reports indicate that Hacher resigned from her position at Gallatin High School on Thursday.
11/28/07 – Case Heads To Grand Jury
Hatcher appeared in Sumner County court for a preliminary hearing.
Her lawyer was unsuccessful in attempting to get Hatcher’s videotaped statement tossed.
Her Sumner County case will be heard by the grand jury.
1/19/08 – Grand Jury Indictment
A Sumner County grand jury has indicted Holly Hatcher on three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure.
