Heather Lynne Zeo, 36, a math teacher at North Penn High School in Lansdale Pennsylvania has reportedly been arrested on allegations of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.
Zeo was reportedly charged today with endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors.
It is alleged that Zeo began the relationship with the boy in April. It is also alleged that Zeo was having sexual conversations and contact with the student both on and off school grounds and that these conversation extended to phone calls and internet chats.
It is further alleged that Zeo had an inappropriate relationship over the Internet with another male student and that the second relationship involved sexually explicit Internet chats and several invitations from Zeo for the student to visit her classroom when she was alone so they could have sex.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, when confronted Zeo admitted to having a sexual relationship with only one of the students.
Zeo has reportedly been suspended by the school system and is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon.
She is reportedly married and the mother of three and describes herself as a Mennonite with conservative political views.

Zeo made an initial court appearance this afternoon and was reportedly released on $25,000 bail, with a court date set for June 2nd.
06/01/09 – Preliminary Hearing Postponed
The preliminary hearing for Heather Zeo, accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student,, has been postponed until July 15th.
The original date from the preliminary hearing was changed at the request of the defense. The new date resulted in a scheduling issue for the prosecution which requested a new date.
The July 15th date was reportedly the soonest the court was able to reschedule.

07/15/09 – Preliminary Hearing
A preliminary hearing was held today for Heather Zeo on one count of endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of corruption of minors.
District Judge Harold D. Boreck determined there was enough evidence to send the charges against Heather Lynne Zeo to court.
07/25/09 – Heather Zeo Arrested Again
Heather Zeo has reportedly been re-arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, corruption of minors and obstruction of justice.
The latest charges are the result of testimony given by one of Zeo’s students during a preliminary hearing earlier this month. As a result of those statements, police after conducting further investigation now alleges that Zeo called one of the alleged victims and told him to delete message from her to him.
A preliminary hearing on the new charges has been set for July 30th.

09/01/09 – Arraignment Waived
Heather Zeo has waived arraignment in Montgomery County Court and pleaded not guilty to charges of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of a minor.
The case against Heather Zeo will now be scheduled for trial.
Zeo remains free on bond.

09/11/09 – Charges Against Heather Zeo Stand
On Thursday morning, a preliminary hearing was held for Heather Zeo on misdemeanor charges of tampering with evidence, corruption of a minor and obstruction of justice. At the conclusion of that hearing the charges were upheld for county court on October 28th.
The three new charges arose after testimony at a July 15 hearing given by a student that Zeo allegedly seduced online but with whom she did not have sex.
Zeo’s attorney attempted to drop all charges against his client, arguing that the school officials were not defined as functions of government by law and therefore the charges were unjust.
09/23/09 – Not Guilty Plea To Obstruction
Heather Zeo has reportedly waived her arraignment in Montgomery County Court and pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of tampering with evidence, corruption of a minor and obstruction of justice.
Zeo’s case will now be scheduled for trial and it is likely that the obstruction related charges will be combined with charges of endangering the welfare of children and corruption of a minor with all charges to be tried in a single trial.

Chris, what a joke. Your alma mater tarnished?!? Give me a break. What about all the druggies in your school? No one pins this on the school. You have others in the same school doing this, and drinking while driving, and doing drugs, and writing bad checks, and animal cruelity, and child abuse, and internet porn, and on and on and on.
She was my Geometry teacher in high school. I was stunned to hear what she had done. This is a person who you would never, ever think of committing such acts. I am deeply ashamed and feel so sorry for my alma mater whose reputation has been tarnished by such a sad individual.
Heather Zeo is every guy’s fantasy, if your fantasy is a girl with buckteeth, red hair, and pasty skin.

Well, the DA is going for jail time. Lets hope she gets it! I know there have been other boys over the years but of course they will not come forward. These poor boys got caught, I doubt they would have told. The school got wind of it when the teacher “allegedly” sent naked pictures of herself to an ex-student who had a girlfriend still in the highschool… How stupid can one person be. Her and her husband are both bible bangers. Check out the Free Zeo group at Facebook. She has a whole bunch of students behinde her. She wasn’t even a great teacher, they all liked her because she would write passes to skip classes and hang out in her classroom and do nothing. What highschool kid wouldn’t think that was cool….. Oh this whole thing completely disgusts me….
Wow! Thanks Firsthand, I’m glad that somebody is actually agreeing with the ramblings of a pervert. I hold teachers in the highest regards, and I get upset when I hear about teachers abusing their power (s). Teachers should know better than to start a sexual relationship with a teenage kid. They are the ones to blame, because a teenage guy is going to try to have sex with anything that walks, not just teenage guys but guys in general.
I don’t care if a 16-year-old guy bangs a 28-year-old woman, because guys handle sex differently than girls, especially at this fragile age. Just because guys and girls are different doesn’t mean they should be judged differently. We should have to live by same standards and laws (this is about the time I usually make a perverted joke, but I can’t think of a perverted joke, which is unusual).
This is what angers me the most about female teachers; they want equality in every other aspect, pay, health care and pension. Fair enough, female teacher should receive equal pay, equal health care and equal pension. They should also receive equal punishment, but female teachers aren’t to blame when they get the chick-pass. The blame should go to the judicial system for going easy on women. Women are so lucky they get boobies to play with, they can have sex with minors, and they can think irrational.

Okay, time for Uncle DAN to school all you fools with something I like to call common sense.
A lot of people get angry when a female teacher is arrested for having sex with a 17-year-old boy, and they don’t see anything wrong with this. They argue that a 17-year-old boy is practically a man, can die for his country, and able to make his own decisions. Yes, that would be true if that 17-year-old had a full-time job, paid his own bills, and didn’t live at home with mommy and/or daddy. Most 17-year-olds can’t drive a manual transmission, let alone make rational decisions, so shut-up with this almost an adult nonsense.
If that 17-year-old was in Afghanistan, fighting the Taliban, than he is an adult by anyone’s standards. He can have sex with a camel for all I care. But that isn’t even the issue that you should be concerned with.
Teachers are put in a position of authority, and they shouldn’t abuse it by having sex with a student that’s been put in their trust. This is what irks me, teachers should have to follow the rules like anyone else. Especially female teachers, teaching was always the one profession that women were allowed to have.
The reputation of female teachers are besmirched by the actions of Amy Northcutt, Hope Jacoby (I’m fully aware that Hope wasn’t a teacher), and Christina Oliver. They soil the time honored tradition that women were given. They should be punished harder than men, instead they are given lighter sentences. Female teachers found guilty of having sex with a student should be forced to pose nude in a men’s magazine. This will deter most of those fatties from putting the moves on any of their students.
