Guilty!

(1/10/08 - Initial BBT Report)

Heather Michelle Chesser, 26, a substitute teacher at the Phoenix School, an alternative school in Crossville, Tennessee, has been arrested on two counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

Chesser came to the attention of authorities by way of school official alerting investigators to what is being termed “inappropriate contact” between Chesser and a teenage boy at the school.

Chesser has been released on $10,000 bond with a court date set for January 25th.

1/15/08 - Grand Jury Indictment

Heather Chesser has been indicted by a Cumberland County Grand Jury on two counts each of statutory rape by an authority figure and sexual battery by an authority figure.

1/28/08 - Not Guilty Plea

Last Friday Heather Chesser asked for a court appointed attorney to represent her and entered a not guilty plea.

Next court date May 9th.

07/26/08 - Guilty Plea

According to the Crossville Chronicle, Heather Chesser has pleaded guilty to statutory rape and will be sentenced on September 26.
