Harry Heintz, 29, a former world history teacher and assistant football coach at Whitewater High School, in Fayetteville, Georgia has been arrested for felony sexual exploitation of a minor.

Allegedly Heintz sent a text message to a female student asking her to send him a nude picture of herself.

He came to the attention of authorities when the girl’s mother called police. It is alleged that police found the girl’s cell phone number during a search of Heintz’s property.

Reportedly Heintz who resigned from the school “for personal reasons” on Tuesday is married to a teacher at Booth Middle School and formerly served in the Army in Iraq.

2/28/08 - Charges Dropped

A felony charge of sexual exploitation of a minor against Harry Heintz has been dropped.

Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard indicated that while some of the statements Heintz made in text messages to a student may have been inappropriate, they were not illegal.

    Coach Heintz went on TV and told us that he was counseling the girl. Then the texts are published and we see the comments that he made about his OWN WIFE! What a guy…

    and the person that said the victims are to blame, shame on you, he is the adult, he knows better.

    Coach was my teacher. I know he is a great person. Deleted by webmaster Coach Heintz was the best teacher ever i actually learned in his class. These girl(s) are Deleted by webmaster not victums.

    Hi im a student of the wife of Mr. heints and I am totally shocked.
    Mrs. Heints always gave good comments about her husband she is an amasing teacher she must be going through alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey Im a student at Whs coach heintz was a great person and I would have never thought he would do such an act. I think he is innocent until proven guilty, but it takes two to tango. The girl or boy had to give him the number so theres my point…
