Gerardo Javier Davila, 28, a teacher at Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial High School in Alamo, Texas has entered a not guilty plea at his arraignment on a charge of improper relationship between educator and student.
Police say that Davila was a jazz band teacher and the alleged victim was one of his students.
Davila was arrested in July of last year on allegations of an improper relationship after a school custodian allegedly caught Davila and the female student together on school grounds and kissing. Reportedly the custodian reported the incident to the school principal.
Following his arrest, Davila was released on $90,000 bond.
His current status with the school system is unknown, as are many other details of the case.
