I knew him in college. Yet this doesnt surprise me one bit.
I will be praying for him in the future and hope that he survives prison.
I agree with Rev. Richard, and I’m sure that he is no Frugal Gourmet.
“Ice”: In my position there is temptation. I head a ministry working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and abnormal personality disorders. Prior to ministry, I worked with young teens to adult as a district manager, overseeing newspaper carriers. The difference is, I know my professional responsibility and I’ve never crossed the boundary and violated ANY individual in either position. Even when considering a position as an instructor at a college, I knew professional responsibility prohibits teacher/student relationships as well.
If he couldn’t keep his hands off any student’s, he shouldn’t have been a teacher. No matter how you discuss student’s behaviors with other students, you can’t justify a teacher violating their responsibility to protect students, and not give into temptations that are evident being exposed to highly raging hormone individuals.
I understand he is or was married as well. So he not only violated a student, he violated his wife and completely disrespected his marriage. So, if he were tempted, and in the mood after being around all the hormonal teens, he could have taken it out on his wife, instead of going somewhere he should have never been. He, as an adult had the choice, and made the wrong one. The choice he made demands he answer for his behavior. Raising daughters myself, I’m glad another “bad teacher” is going to be put away so he won’t have access to doing the same to one of my children, or anyone else.
i played football with him in high school. he sucked. he was playin on the jv team as a senior.
