Frederick Emerson Fernsler

Frederick Emerson Fernsler, 55, a teacher at D.L. Perez Elementary School in Yigo, Guam has reportedly been indicted by a grand jury on charges he allegedly touched an 11-year-old female student sexually.

Reportedly, the grand jury indicted Fernsler on charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, as a first-degree felony, and official misconduct, as a misdemeanor.

Fernsler was arrested June 5 on allegations that when the girl bent over in class, Fernsler grabbed her hips from behind and started thrusting his pelvis against her buttocks. At the time of his arrest, Fernsler was alleged to have used hidden cameras to spy on a classroom where female students would change their clothes, but the latest indictment against him don’t include those allegations.

Reportedly, Fernsler has been charged in court twice before on other criminal sexual conduct charges involving students with one charge being dismissed and the other resulting in a non-felony conviction.

    His name reminds me of the pompous Charles Emerson Winchester of the M*A*S*H* tv series, and he even bears a resemblance of the arrogant major. In the MASH series the action took place in Korea. Well, this Emerson isn’t too far off the Asian map.

    I’m curious as to how he got caught doing what he’s alleged to have done. I also wonder what happened to the alleged cameras that were supposed to be in the room where children changed their clothes.

    Crimes against children have an open jurisdiction. That means, if you molest a child on Mars, when you return to Earth you will be arrested and tried in a court of law. There is no escape from the long arm of the law.
