Freddie Lee Prince, 23, of Salisbury, Maryland, a former substitute teacher at several schools in Wicomico County, including Salisbury Middle School, has pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual abuse in a case with a 13-year-old female student victim.

Prince was sentenced to two years in the Wicomico County Detention Center to be followed by two-and-a-half years of probation. While on probation Prince will be prohibited unsupervised contact with underage girls.

Prince will be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Prince came to the attention of authorities in May when the victim contacted the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and told a deputy she was having sex with Prince.

Reportedly the victim told investigators that she initiated the relationship with Prince and regretted her decision.
