Elizabeth Gaddy, 45, a 7th-grade social studies teacher at Callaway Middle School in Hogansville, Georgia has reportedly been charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
It is alleged that Gaddy had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old male student.
It is alleged that Gaddy had been having sexual contact with the boy for several months with some of the alleged behavior occurring at Gaddy’s home in Hogansville and also on dirt roads in Troup County.
Reportedly Gaddy had been on administrative leave since Nov. 20 while school officials conducted an investigation of her professional conduct.
Gaddy came to the attention of authorities by way of parents concerns about the teacher’s behavior.
Reportedly Gaddy is being held in the Troup County Jail without bond and has a court date set for February 12, 2009.
10/19/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
With jury selection set to begin today in the trial of Elizabeth Gaddy she pleaded guilty to child molestation in a plea deal with prosecutors, who dropped two additional charges.
Following her plea, Gaddy was sentenced to twenty years in prison with five years to serve.
Gaddy will be required to register as a sex offender.
I had mrs gaddy as my 7th grade teacher and she was always great and so nice to me she did give me and my friend notes saying we were really great students but I did not think anything of it. It makes me really upset to know she did that and me and her youngest daughter were friends in elementary school and I went over to her house but my mom was there she is just a disgusting pedophylic pervert and deserves to rot and die in a rat disiese filled prison in Guatemala.
When i first heard about this, i could not believe it. i had her as my 7th grade teacher. she was one of the coolest teachers, in my opinion. but now that i start to think about it, she wasn’t even really seen as the teacher type to alot of the students. whe really didnt care what our class did. we had so much fun in her class. maybe she just wanted to feel young again. i dunno…bad way to try tho…

ms gaddy was a (Expletive deleted by site moderator). she always showed favortism to the cheerleaders and the football players. like chrystal said…. she did try to get her daughter to go out with the male student. she wouldnt do it. i know for a fact that this student reciever bj’s during my 4 th period class. i think ms Gaddy should be given more thab 5 years and she needs to have her name in all the papers again. i hope her husband does good in life without his s***** wife. i hope her two daughters learn the ways of a firefighter dad and not a child molesyer <(sp) mom.

20 Years and must serve five. What happened to her asking that they not refer to the student as a “victim”? Her tune sure did change once they let her know they were prepared to prove she also got it on with the victims two (2) older brothers and another student.

i think this is what she gets she was always a b**** to me in 7th grade. It really is a shame. I can one hundred percent believe this. She always had kids coming to her house that were in my grade. I have actually heard that it was more kids that she did her thing with from what ive heard it was 4 kids 3 freshman and 1 8th grader
