Edward Keith Kelley, 51, a substitute teacher in the Polk County School System in Polk County, Georgia has been arrested on charges of electronic pornography and child exploitation.

Reportedly, Kelley was under investigation by several state and local agencies as part of the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Kelly was arrested at his home on Thursday.

03/11/10 – Case Update

According to Glynn County Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Miller, Edward Kelley was indicted by a Glynn County Grand Jury on two counts of computer pornography charges and two counts of solicitation for sexual conduct with a child.

Reportedly, Kelley is scheduled for trial on April 19th.

According to ADA Miller, it is likely that Kelly will not stand trial in Glynn County as federal prosecutors want to pick up Kelley’s case and prosecute in federal court.

Kelly is reportedly free on bond.

    Why was this not given out to the local community. I see nothing of this on the local newspaper website. I think if this man was in the Polk School District as a substitute teacher, then the District should notify Parents. It’s also the newspapers responsibility to get the word out to the community.

    Was there a victim or is this arrest a result of a chatlog with an undercover agent?
