David Frank Pace, 57, a career and technical education teacher at North Henderson High School in Hendersonville, North Carolina has been charged with using a computer to solicit a child for sex.

Pace has been charged with two counts of using a computer to solicit a child for sex.
Guilford County deputies say that Pace communicated with them on several occasions, and that more charges, possibly out-of-state, are possible.
Following his arrest Pace was being held in lieu of $190,000 bond.
David Pace is one of three North Carolina teachers caught up during the past few days by an Internet sex sting operated by he Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. The other two are David Seus and Kevin Samuel.
07/11/08 - Additional Information
WLOS TV is reporting that Pace is also facing four counts of criminal solicitation of a minor in Greenville, South Carolina.
Reportedly Greenville Police have put a hold on Pace, and plan to arrest him if and when he bonds out of jail.
07/19/08 - Details of S.C. Case Revealed
More information on the South Carolina case against David Pace have been revealed including allegations that Pace exposed himself using a Webcam from his home during a chat session with S.C. investigators posing as young girls.
It was also revealed that allegations are that Pace had scheduled a time to meet with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl in Greenville the day he was arrested in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
A S.C. investigator states that the investigation swung into high gear when he found out Pace was a teacher who was around children every day.
Pace remains jailed in North Carolina in lieu of $190,000 bond and South Carolina investigators have a “hold” on him should he make bond in N.C.
08/07/08 - David Pace Resigns
David Pace resigned from his job effective August 4th and voluntarily relinquished his teaching license.
Pace remains jailed in lieu of a $190,000 secured bond.
10/15/08 - Federal Charge Filed
David Frank Pace has been indicted on a federal charge of felony coercion or enticement of a female.
Pace remains jailed.
11/05/08 - Federal Trial Date Set
David Frank Pace has entered a plea of not guilty and has been set for trial in federal court in Asheville, North Carolina on January 5th on one count of coercion or enticement.
