Following an investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, McNabb was arrested on charges of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation.
McNabb came to the attention of authorities after both students told their parents similar accounts of what was allegedly happening in David McNabb’s classroom.
Allegedly both girls told investigators that McNabb reached under their desks on several occasions during class and touched them inappropriately.
Reportedly McNabb faces one count capital sexual battery and two counts of lewd & lascivious molestation.

My blood is boiling after reading most of these comments defending this guy. To think that any of you (Deleted by site moderator) can be parenting little girls out there disgust me. I pray to your warped little minds don’t end up letting your own innocent children go through the excruciating trauma of not having a parent believe you because of their own denial and naivety.
Then again, if it were your own children telling you in explicit detail what happened, and seeing how sexual trauma will affect your little girl for the rest of her life and how in front of your eyes the whole situation had already affected her, you wouldn’t be crying the same ignorant song.
ONCE AGAIN FOR THOSE WHO CAN’T SEEM TO GET IT… MOST PEDOPHILES ARE SOCIOPATHS WHO ARE MASTER MANIPULATORS AND CAN GO THEIR WHOLE LIFE UNDETECTED BECASE THEY ARE SO “NICE” AND BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE “TRULY KNEW THEM” and of course this could never be possible with someone you actually know. No, I guess most pedophiles are completely transparent and everyone around them knows who they truly are, they never have wives or sisters or daughters. What bull****. By the way, any of your guys’ comments sound familiar? It should, since this is the same thing people say about rapists and serial killers all the time—you think nobody “knew” them? So many of these people are “family men”, people known and loved in their communities, etc. you “knowing” him is the only reason most of you are in such denial about this thing anyway.
I think all you are just guilty for not knowing this guys true nature, which you shouldn’t be…. Most of the time people don’t have any clue about these guys until it’s too late. Stop trying to tell yourself you couldn’t possibly have someone like this in your life and not know it—it happens to people all the time. But you guys are the adults here— how about we try to protect young children a little more and not so much fully grown men (who may or may not have done it, but for you to say with such certainty that he 100% DIDN’T just because you know him and he’s such a nice guy, is ridiculous).
Think about who has more incentive to lie in this case.
I don’t know if he 100% did it or not, but I’m sure as hell not going to beat up little girls about it when I’m sure they’ve been amply questioned by police, social workers, their parents, lawyers (including defense), etc—a grudge some 8 year old doesn’t usually go this far without either being detected for what it is or the little girl backing down or showing inconsistencies in her story after a while.
By the way, no I do not know any of these girls or him, I live in south fla and came to this page through the main Fla page… I was just astounded when I read so many comments by so may different adults making out sexually abused children to be some kind of SOCIOPATHIC, PATHOLOGICALLY LYING, MASTER MANIPULATORS OF THE ENTIRE JUSTICE SYSTEM!!!! Yes people do get falsely charged by children, and yes COPS ARE QUICK TO JUMP THE GUN AND ARREST PEOPLE ON SUSPICIONS, but once it gets to court if it completely has no validity it is usually thrown out, cases of sexual assault are thrown out ALL THE TIME believe it or not due to lack of evidence.

well, first of all these little girls are 8 yrs old not 10, secondly, we don’t know if there is also any “medical” facts that they may have been hurt, thirdly, my son was in that class, I had asked him if Mr McNabb had any favorite students, he said y e s ….particuarly
2 girls that always got to sit at his desk and were always able to pass out the papers…..
all the facts will come out,
innocent until proven guilty, but what happened to protect the innocent.
Morgan – the fact that children “waited” until summer is not uncommon, in fact it is the norm in cases of sexual abuse. Victims may not come forward for years. This is an understood psychological phenomena and in no way should cast doubt on the legitimacy of these accusations.
Children hate teachers, sure. BUT – How many 10 year olds seethe with anger during the summer after they have left that teacher’s class? Teachers are the last thing on a child’s mind during summer vacation, UNLESS a child has endured some kind of trauma.
You don’t give the police any credit. Police are not evil, in general like you would make it seem. They are aware of the ramifications that these kinds of accusations can have on an adult like David and they certainly do proceed with caution. They do not want to ruin an innocent man’s life.
You still can’t overlook the fact that a third victim came forward to corroborate. You would have us believe that a third lying little girl, after he had been arrested has found enough anger and spite to pile on the accusations. I have a hard time coming up with a plausible reason why this would happen. The only thing that fits is that this girl endured some kind of abuse. It is disgusting that you insinuate that they are liars.
Innocent until proven guilty is a necessary and just legal ideal but it does not relinquish us from our duty to use common sense.
I just love the prejudices you’re all so guilty of. NO ONE can say what he has or has not done, he knows the truth, and so do those children. Anyone else has no reason to accuse unless you were a victim yourself or a witness to the act. Can anyone here say that? Can we come back to the basic rule of law, that you’re innocent until PROVEN guilty? As a defendant you do not have to PROVE your innocence. It’s on the state to show proof that he’s done this. These girls have ACCUSED him of doing these things, whether it’s true or not, is not for any of us to decide.
I can say I don’t believe he would do something like this. I’ve lived with the man, again how many of you can say that? I’ve seen the kind of person he is. I’ve seen him interact with children. He’d even talk to me about his students as he graded their work at home, not as someone that would be seen as a predator, but as a caring teacher. I do believe little girls can lie about such things, whether it be one, or fifty of them with the same story, it can be done. You’ve never had a teacher you didn’t like? Maybe you wouldn’t be so bold as to accuse one of such things, but can you say no child would be? I’ve dealt with police and their investigations a few times. They would arrest on the accusation alone, especially because it’s made by a child, and let the court sort it out, no “convincing” needed. That’s the way they work. Besides, it’s not like there’s any evidence to collect.
I tend to wonder though, these alleged molestations occurred throughout the school year, yet not a single student spoke up until the summer? Not a single student noticed? I know many victims tend to keep these things to themselves, but as it’s been said, children don’t stay quiet about anything, and I’m pretty sure they’re too young to stay quiet because they were ashamed. So many of you make it seem as though due to their young age that they’re incapable of making things up, that they’re incapable of being THAT evil. NO ONE is incapable.
Children these days, are not oblivious to the world and how things work. Children ARE smart. Maybe their teachers deserve more credit when it comes to that. Those that say children of that age know nothing of sexual acts also need to be taught and updated on the generation of today. When I was in elementary school, MANY things went on and were discussed openly amongst the students. Today, being an adult I look back and feel almost shocked that we were so young, knowing so much. If any of you have children, and you think they’re oblivious, you’re gonna be in serious shock when your little girl comes home pregnant or little boy becomes a father, being only a few years older than these children. Better get those talks started now.
There’s one problem with the argument the law judges without prejudice or bias, it’s not the cops that will convict him, it’s not the judge or the prosecutor, it’s a jury of everyday people. People are prejudice and biased. You can attempt to filter them out during a jury selection, but in the end, you’re gonna have three little girls saying one thing, and one man saying another, and it will be up to those people to determine this mans fate based solely on what these girls say about him. It’s their word against his, and sadly, most people would condemn him on that alone. If it were you on the jury, how would you decide? Who would you believe?
In most cases, the girls win, no matter the truth. Mainly, because of that conception that children are innocent little angels. All I’m gonna say is, I pray for everyone involved. For David and the children for healing and forgiveness, whether it be for him or them, not for me to say. Good luck David, I truly believe and hope that you are innocent, and if so, will be found as such in court. No matter the outcome, there is only one true judge and in the end, that’s the only one that matters.
