Darren Snieszko, 25, a science teacher at Gibbs High School in Saint Petersburg, Florida has been arrested on allegations that he engaged in improper behavior with a 16-year-old female student.
Snieszko is charged with a felony count of interference with custody.
It is alleged that Snieszko enticed the student to go on a “field trip” alone with him to Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. It is also alleged that Snieszko paid for the girl’s admission with his Pinellas County teacher’s discount card.
Additional allegations are that Snieszko sent the girl a variety of romantic messages, using MySpace, cell phone text messages, and e-mail messages.
Snieszko came to the attention of authorities when the girl accompanied by her mother went to police.
07/26/08 - No Charges
Prosecutors will not pursue criminal charges against Darren Snieszko because the girl’s mother wanted to put the incident behind them.
Reportedly an investigation by the school found Snieszko didn’t have any sexual contact with the girls, but that he became too close to them by taking them to the movies, the zoo and Busch Gardens without informing their parents.
Snieszko resigned from the school on July 1st.

Myspace began when us 25-year-olds were in college using it for the first time and blowing it up into what it is today. I don’t see how that’s immature. A lot of professionals of all ages including businesspeople, musicians, and companies have Myspace pages.
Parents and the media LOVE to blame Myspace for all of the trouble their kids can get into using it. Parents should stop letting their kids use the internet altogether because there’s a lot worse stuff out there besides Myspace.

Okay! Whatever news. . .gossip..drama hungry fool posted this needs to get a life find a good story and take this (****) off.
I actually HAD Mr.Snieszko for BIO class. ..5th period and that was my FAVORITE class.Mr.Snieszko is an amazing UHMAZING teacher! He knows how to get information across and how to reach out to the kids in these classes whom in other words wouldnt even come to school.
There are so many other teachers out there that ARE ACTUALLY perverted and have done some messed up (****) and HE doesnt deserve this. He’s a man. A HUMAN BEING CALLED MAN. They f*** up ALOT! lol
Teacher, business man, father Whatever! And another thing, Snieszko lost his job and and thats no joke! Thats really sad,and NOTHING i have not heard of anything happening to these girls who did theh wrong thing in the first place and lead him on. It just aint right. . . WE MISS YOU MR.SNIESZKO! MR. (****) CANT TEACH!

I know this teacher, he has not commited any crime. Yes, it might not have been the greatest idea to take a female student to the zoo, but now he should know what society today has become. Anyone who wants to better our surroundings is always picked at to bring them down. No one wants to think that someone can be this nice without something bad lurking behind them. He does everthing he can to teach students in a way they understand, not lecturing them, but talking to them on terms the students can understand. I don’t believe he should be charged with any crime. He has learned his lesson already, why does everyone still try to throw his name down like he is a bad guy.

ok. although I never had this guy as a teacher, he is pretty hot. and I think because he is attractive they are making a bigger deal out of this then it is. I mean he is twenty five, not forty five, and plenty of 16 yr olds are attractie and look older. He’s a guy, give him a break.
