Daniel Toler, 46, a former math teacher at Sunnyside Elementary School in Stanton Heights, Pennsylvania has been arrested as the result of an Internet sting conducted by Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), yes - the real one.
Initially Toler is charged with unlawful contact with a minor and possession of child pornography.
It is alleged that Toler contacted an undercover officer in a Yahoo chat room as the officer was using a fictitious identity of a 29-year-old mother with two 12-year-old children.
It is also alleged that during subsequent chats Toler contacted the undercover officer and told her he would “love to have a young girl to play with and adore.” The complaint also states Toler encouraged the officer, whom he believed to be the mother, to engage in sex acts with her children.
It is further alleged that Toler exposed himself via webcam to what he believed were the mother and her children and that he downloaded pictures and videos of child pornography to his personal computer and a school-issued laptop.
Toler is free on $10,000 bond with a preliminary hearing set for Thursday.
Toler who reportedly worked for the school system for three years was suspended by the school system in August and resigned on September 30.
