Daniel Rothbard, 28, a math teacher at Willow Road Elementary School in Franklin Square, New York has reportedly been arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl he met on MySpace.
Reportedly, Rothbard is charged with third-degree rape, third-degree sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree criminal sexual act.
Rothbard came to the attention of authorities when a police officer allegedly caught him with a 15-year-old girl in his car and in “a partial state of undress” Tuesday night in the parking lot of the Westbrook Elementary School.
It is alleged that Rothbard was “in intercourse” with the girl and that he later admitted to police that the two were having sex when they were discovered by the officer.
Daniel Rothbard was freed on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday at his arraignment.
Investigators are now looking into whether Rothbard had sexual relations with other girls he met online and are asking anyone with information regarding this case or other possible incidents involving Rothbard to contact detectives at the Suffolk County Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS

Reportedly, Daniel Rothbard was arrested this morning and now faces new charges in Nassau on allegations of sexual misconduct with two underage friends of the first alleged victim.
The latest charges against Rothbard are the result of the investigation into the alleged rape of the 15-year-old in Suffolk. It is alleged that the crimes took place July 7 after Rothbard had contact with an underage girl through his MySpace page, and she and her friend went to West Islip to meet him.
Rothbard is to be arraigned today on the new charges at First District Court in Hempstead.
None of the three alleged victims were Robhbard’s students and all three are from Suffolk.

Danny Rothbard is a scumbag he deserves to rot in jail.. He was a teacher and took advantage of more than 1 teenage girl. But i heard that the school he worked at still wants him back as a teacher. what so he can do the same thing over and over again…
I just hope that god never gives him a child because 1 he will be a sex offender and 2 he doesnt deserve to have a child EVER!! But ofcourse i know he will get off easy maybe a few months in jail and some time on probation. There are people who do crimes less serious than what Daniel Rothbard did but they are the ones who get more jaill time for a crime such as stealing a car or a DUI but i know Daniel Rothbard will only get a few months (maybe a year in prison) but he deserves to be there for a very very long time..
But one thing Karma is a bitch. Karma will bite him in the ass 1 day and he will not be able to avoid the punishment.

i think it is a disgrace that a married man who has a beautiful wife who has had his child should ever get to see the child ever. as for the wife i feel terrible for her, she didn’t deserve it nor it the baby.. sounds like a dirtbag to me very suprised the bail was so cheap hope the wife has sense enough to divorce him and sell the ring and uses the money for the child.. there is no excuse fore this behaviour he must need some real serious help from rich psych doctors to help him and hopefully he will learn his lessonif not then hes nuts fore suuree , the wife deserves a good honest man with good values in life. thats what i believe whats your opionion?
i he worked at my camp for 15 years at rolling river day camp in east rockaway,new york and i have known him for 12 years. when i found out about this, i was in so much shock because i couldnt believe that he could have done something like this. i was so upset for like the first few days and now i still cant believe that he did it. all of my friends can NOT believe it since we were all really close with him since we were little. now, all i have to say to u danny is “wow” and i cant believe u
i went to HS w/ the kid but didnt know him…he was a grade or 2 lower then me i believe…i was surprised when i heard the news…i dont know if hes the child predator hes being made out to be or just a dumb kid trying to get laid but cmon man….u cant bone 15 yr old girls when ur 28….no matter how they look (young girls these days look like grown women)….were not kids in highscool anymore…believe it or not we grew up…were damn near 30….i know time flew right by us but this is what it is…when i was 15 and younger i wanted to bone every girl in sight…im 29 and still do…lol…but not kids…damn dude…from what i hear his family was very nice people so take it easy on them…im sure this is an embarrassment and complete shock for them…hope it all works out for everyone…
Rothbard is a predator and a classic “groomer” of underage girls. Parents need to warn their kids that disgusting creeps like him are out there, ready and more than willing to prey on them. Parents also need to monitor their kids Internet activity. Computers with Internet access should only be in common areas of the house where the kids — no matter how good or trustworthy they are — don’t have privacy. No, I’m not blaming the victims or the parents at all, but these groomers are out there online in the same places where your kids go & they tell them what they want to hear and make everyone else the enemy — especially mom & dad. Hopefully Rothbard will make some nice “friends” in jail that treat him like he treats underage girls. Oh, and remember — pedophiles can’t be rehabilitated. Never happen.
