(02/16/08 – Initial BBT Report)
Daniel P. Corvino, 31, a technology teacher at Pond Road Middle School, in Robbinsville, New Jersey has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Corvino used a webcam to “broadcast” a lewd video of himself masturbating to a 14-year-old girl.
Corvino came to the attention of authorities following a lesson to students at the district’s high school on the dangers of the Web sites Facebook and MySpace when students approached a teacher and said they were concerned about inappropriate communications with Corvino.
Corvino was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.
08/22/08 – Grand Jury Indictment
Daniel Corvino has been indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on one count of official misconduct of the second degree, one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact of the third degree and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child of the second degree.
Corvino will likely be arraigned by the middle of next month, after which a trial date should be set.
If convicted of the charges Corvino faces up to 10 years in prison.
03/05/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
Daniel P. Corvino has pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child by broadcasting himself masturbating via a live web camera to a 14-year-old female.
Under the terms of the plea deal with prosecutors, Corvino will be sentenced to a four-year suspended sentence and he will be on parole supervision for life.
Additionally, Corvino must forfeit his teaching privileges, submit to a psychological evaluation to determine if he is a repetitive and compulsive sex offender and register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
09/22/09 – Formal Sentencing
Daniel P. Corvino was reportedly sentenced yesterday to a six year suspended sentence and placed on life-time parole supervision.
Reportedly, Corvino also forfeited his teaching certificate, must register as a sex offender and is restricted from all social networking sites and is prohibited any contact with the victims.
Webmaster’s note: We have no explanation for the discrepancy between the length of the previously announced suspended sentence (4 years) and that imposed by the judge (6 years).

Shouldn’t a technology teacher know that disseminating illegal material (i.e. position of trust p****) over the internet will ultimately lead to a lead-pipe lock conviction??? What a frigging m****.
What gratification could possibly be obtained from allowing a little girl to watch you masturbate???
i had him as a teacher for 4 years. the whole situation was with him & my friend. shes a drama queen and always needs attention though.. i think this is all blown out of poportion. i really cant imagine him doing this. yeah, he was so nice. but everyone requested him. the messeges that were sent out on myspace to ALL his friends and thats why ppl would think its creep that he “invited them to his shows.” he was a band manager..
i had him DURING the cycle when he was arrested it kinda creeps me out thinking about it now beacuse he was always hugging m and grabbing my hands to show me how to do somthing but i just thought he was nice…..guesss he was nice…….just in a bad way………
i talked to him online several times and asked him what if one of his students were on line he said he was completely grossed out by that possibility and that he loved his job. He was very careless tho to identify himself
OMG! This is so weird! I had him the cycle before he was arrested. He seemed cool and young, he never acted weird and pervy. He was friends with the guys in the class and was nice to the girls I guess. ZBut not in a weird way. I got A+ in that class every year.
this makes perfect sense for why i got all A’S in his class and never even moved. everyone who’s making this seem like it wasnt his fault is really ignorant, you dont even know what happened.
I hope nothing works out for him.
He’ll make a nice girlfriend for someone in prison.
