Dahl Rodgers Arrested

Dahl Rodgers, 55, a custodian in the Bloomfield School District, in East Bloomfield, New York has been arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of a 16-year-old boy.

Rodgers was arrested and charged with engaging in a criminal sexual act. Following his arrest he was released on $5,000 bond.

Rodgers is reportedly a 20 year employee of the Bloomfield School District and worked in both the elementary and high school buildings. Police are concerned there may be additional victims.

Reportedly the alleged abuse of the 16-year-old boy occurred off school grounds between September 2005 and September 2006 and that Rodgers is a friend of the boy’s family.

Rodgers came to attention of authorities when a teacher on summer vacation heard the allegations from a person close to the alleged victim’s family.

Rodgers reportedly submitted a letter of resignation to the school system prior to his arrest. His case will be sent to a grand jury, which may issue additional charges.
