Nicklis is the third Cobb County teacher, and the second teacher at Harrison, to be charged with sexual misconduct involving a student in the last year.

Corey L. Grayson and Steven Parkman are the other two.

Reportedly Christopher Nicklis has resigned from Harrison High School.

He is being held in the Cobb County jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.

01/23/09 – Case Update

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that via an Open Records Request it has obtained a Cobb County school district investigative file which indicates that Christopher Nicklis admitted to school officials that he gave a 15-year-old female student a cell phone in a brown envelope last fall.

The report also indicates that Nicklis also admitted to school officials that he told the student he wanted to have sex with her.

After the girl’s mother went to administrators at Harrison to report that Nicklis had given the student a phone without her parents’ knowledge, school administrators questioned Nicklis about the allegations, and the teacher submitted his written resignation.

It is reported that Nicklis told school administrators, “I am an idiot. I realized how ridiculous I was.”

What fool would take the cellphone? This isn’t the 40’s where kids are innocent. What on earth was the girl thinking and how on earth can a kid have cellphone without the parents knowing. Most kids that are involved in these things are troubled kids and have parents who didn’t pay attention. They all need therapy.

(Deleted by site moderator) he did something wrong and now he’s paying for it , and I’m sure you dont know who it was , no one does. It’s sad what he did but he needs to serve his time. I even had him as a teacher and I still think its so wrong what he did.

  3. Ehhhh says:

I always knew something was off about him. Everyone enjoyed his class because he was laid back and acted like a student. He isn’t mature for his age.

  4. I'm Sorry says:

I still don’t believe that he could have done this. I would spend every lunch in his class room. If he really wanted to do something, he would have tried it then.
He was a good guy. I knew him well, and still kept in contact with him. There is no way that he would have been capable of doing this.

  8. no name says:

this is so dissapointing. i had him my freshman year of highschool and he happened to be my favorite teacher. i am deeply disturbed by this. i wish i could remember him as a great teacher, like i have been for the past 4 years, but he now and forever will be nothing more than an apparently disturbed person that i happened to have as a teacher.

  9. Somebody says:

“I think that the girl that recieved them led him to believe she wanted the pictures.”

Are you kidding me!? As if that excuses this disgusting behavior? It doesn’t matter if she hounded him day and night BEGGING for pictures – sending naked pictures of yourself to a 15 year old is and definitely should be a crime.

And please, stop trying to discount this criminal behavior by suggesting that he was going through “hard times.” Tell me what kind of hard times prompt a 36 year old to send pictures of his junk to a 15 year old and ask her for naked pictures in return? Doesn’t really make sense does it?

  10. you can't find me says:

You want to know what is wrong about this entire situation? Any takers? This was a good teacher , either going through a rough time, or opening up to some serious problems. I think that the girl that recieved them led him to believe she wanted the pictures. This is so wrong it is painful .No one understands what this puts the students through. All I wish is that the administration could communicate with the students more. And that seemslike it’s too much to ask.
