(04/01/09 – Initial BadBadTeacher.com Report)
Christopher John Klitgord, 29, a teacher at Milwaukie High School in Milwaukie, Oregon has been arrested and charged on allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.
Klitgord came to the attention of authorities when the alleged victim told a school resource officer about an ongoing sexual relationship with Klitgord.
It is alleged that in phone calls which were recorded that the girl told Klitgord that police were trying to contact her and that Klitgord said “deny all of that,” and asked her, “did you erase everything on your phone, text messages etc.?”
Milwaukie Police say that there is no immediate information that Klitgord had similar relationships with other students. The department is however asking that anyone with information regarding this case or other potential victims contact them at 503-786-7500.
Reportedly, Klitgord has been placed on administrative leave by the school system pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
Following his arrest, Klitgord was reportedly being held in the Multnomah County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
04/02/09 – Charges Upgraded To Felonies
Christopher Klitgord now faces two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, which are Class C felonies.
Misdemeanor charges previously filed against Klitgord were dismissed.
04/09/09 – More Charges and Arraignment
Christopher Klitgord was arraigned today on six charges of sex abuse and two counts of tampering with a witness.
The new charges include four counts of sex aubse and two counts of witness tampering.
Klitgord pleaded not guilty to all charges on Thursday.
Investigators allege that he had sex with the same female student on six occasions and then tried to get her to lie about it.
07/02/09 – Guilty Plea and Sentencing
In a plea deal with prosecutors, Christopher Klitgord pleaded guilty today to two counts of second-degree sexual abuse. All other charges were dropped by prosecutors.
Multnomah County Circuit Judge Julie E. Frantz sentenced Klitgord to 14 months in prison, ordered him to pay his victim $15,000 with $10,000 due immediately and the remainder after he is released from prison.
In addition, Klitgord is required to serve five years probation, to submit a DNA sample and to undergo a minimum of six months of psychiatric counseling.
Klitgord was ordered to register a sex offender.
09/28/09 – Case Update
The Oregonian reports that the North Clackamas School District in hiring Christopher Klitgord failed to discover that New York City school officials had fired him the year before for dating a 16-year-old student, that he had lost his New York state teaching license and had forged a letter of recommendation.

He was my math teacher when i was a freshman in high school in new york. I always knew there was something wrong with him cause he always looked at us when we took tests. He would sit at his desk and stare at us. He left the school during the middle of my freshman year. There were many rumors of why he left, one being that he had some special relationship with a student and someone in the administation saw them together. During class tho, he told us awkward stories about girls that he met. At first i thought he was a rele nice teacher becuase he always praised me and said that i put alot of effort into the class and learning the material. He was a good teacher and taught me a lot and i cant believe that i fell for the stupid lies that he told us. He would constantly compliment me and other girls in the class, which was very strange. I remember that he would come up to some of us and put his hand on our shoulder when we asked him for help. im happy hes locked up

damn that weirdo was my math and accounting teacher he was always fishy…and as someone said before there were rumors about him having a misappropiate relationship with a student, but it was never confirmed by teachers. One time he made a student in my class go up in the class room and at her rice krispy as a humiliating punishment but instead he was getting a sick satisfaction out of that. yucky
Look, at 16 I went after a 36-year old and told him I was 18. I’m sorry, but MTV sexualizes girls the age of 10 with every frikkin’ product they attempt to sell. I’m not saying he wasn’t inappropriate – as an adult, and especially a teacher it was his responsibility to draw the line, make the decision. You can certainly look at a younger person and find them beautiful, and it ends there, with the thought. I do not think of him as a pedophile, in which case I’d say hang him by the toenails and let him die. There’s alot of power in a teacher, and in becoming teacher’s pet, etc., etc. This was a mutual sexual encounter, and would be treated quite differently in Europe – maybe 3-4 months in jail. Luckily, the 36 year old dumped me, because he asked why, if I was 18, I wasn’t either in school or working, and when I said “I just don’t feel like it,” he said “I don’t care for people who have no motivation in life!” Unfortunately, it is kind of obvious from this web site that he was not an English teacher…
He was my accounting teacher at H..S.E.F and as he told us it was the first H.S he taught in… he was such a funny and sarcastic guy i actually loved his class… he never disrespected me in neway but after i graduated he was not there nemore and there were a few rumors here n there about this going on but nothing ever confirmed i guess this time he wast so lucky dam ( btw i got good grades in his class haha 90s n as i said he was helpful. very smart and never tried nething on me )
I am a senior with two months left in school and I dropped out because I am so scared!
I had him My sophmore year. He was my Algebra lab teacher and all I can really say is that he talked like a female and kind of wore the same clothes everyday and was kind of a big, big “A” word my friend almost had him for math but her mom got sick of that school so her mom pulled her out thank God she did he was weird as hell dude. But he did help me understand math ok he could’ve did a better job at times. but then there was another teacher named (Name Deleted by site moderator) that was his buddy and we’d always see them walking together at Lunch everyday and I just figured that he knew more than what anyone is saying about his case. But really this shocked me dearly because when he opens his mouth to speak he wouldn’t come off as a straight narrowed man in life but ” Hey!” Only god can judge him, and also me but 1 more thing I just wonder why the girl isn’t in trouble as well as he is and I believe that he is guilty of such a crime. That student could’ve been me!
I had him at Economics and Finance. He was ridiculously funny and very charismatic. He used sarcasm all the time, and he was obviously an intelligent person.
I admit he was maybe a bit weird, but no more than myself or other people i know. He was just TOO down-to-earth. To the point where he was cool with just everything, including possibly having sex with a 16 year old. He’s had older girlfriends than that before he used to tell us, so he had no problems with his sex life.
If he did have sex with that girl, it’s probably because she was asking him for it, or maybe he was just a bit drunk or something and it was off school-time. The guy probably just likes having a good time. He’s not necessarily a pedophile or an immoral guy. He probably just wanted to have some fun and could’ve been under the influence.
ummm he was super weird…i had him my sophomore year for math…..he came off as a down to earth dude but just awkward all around…….he had a weird smile and a weird way of staring at me…yukkkkkk…don’t doubt this not one bit
