Charles Russell Young, 63, a former teacher and school technology support person at Pierce Middle School in Tampa, Florida has been arrested on 60 counts of possession of child pornography.
Young came to the attention of authorities in December when he and a school resource officer were discussing the “Vista” operating system and Young let the officer test out his computer. The resource officer allegedly noticed a recently opened file with a title referring to oral sex with a 12-year-old. As a result of the discovery the resource officer contacted detectives and a search warrant for Young’s computer was obtained.
A resulting search of Young’s computer allegedly revealed a total of 60 pictures of boys in lewd positions and engaged in sexual activity.
Allegedly Young has admitted to downloading, viewing and masturbating to the child pornography.
Reportedly Young turned himself in at the Orient Road jail and was released on surety bond late Wednesday night.
