Charles Fishburne Rhodes III, a teacher at First Baptist Church School in Charleston, South Carolina has reportedly been arrested on allegations of soliciting sex from a 12-year-old female student.

Rhodes is reportedly charged with criminal solicitation of a minor.

It is alleged that a few days after the end of the school year that Rhodes began sending text messages to the girl’s cell phone.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Rhodes and the girl had been exchanging text messages for two to three weeks when Rhodes wrote and asked her to “come over”.

It is further alleged that in one text message to the girl that Rhodes asked her to perform oral sex on him.

According to the affidavit, when questioned by Charleston County Sheriff’s, Rhodes waived his rights and admitted that he engaged in the sexual conversation with the girl.
