Stephen Bruce Unger Jr, 28, a former fifth-grade PE Teacher and soccer coach at Neal Elementary School in Bryan, Texas went missing this week just days before he was set to go on trial for multiple counts of child molestation.

Unger failed appear Monday for a pre-trial hearing. District Judge Steve Smith revoked his bail and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Wednesday afternoon the judge indefinitely postponed his trial, which had been scheduled to begin on December 3.

Unger was arrested in November 2006 when the mother of an 11 year old male contacted the Bryan Police Department and reported that her son had been inappropriately touched in his genital area by his coach and that the coach had her son reciprocate the behavior. The victim’s mother identified the suspect as Stephen Bruce Unger Jr. and advised that the acts occurred on both July 4, 2006 and October 27, 2006.

Initially Unger was charged with two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact. In January 2007 Unger was arrested again and charged with three additional counts of indecency and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. It is alleged that Unger sexually abused two boys. One boy said the abuse began when he was 9 years old and lasted three years. The second boy said that he was abused when he was 12 and 13 years old.

At the time of his disappearance, Unger was free on bonds totaling $140,000 for the combined charges.

After Unger failed to appear in court Monday, police spoke with his father who reportedly indicated that Unger “had headed to Colorado on a motorcycle to clear his head before his trial”.

12/15/08 - Unger Captured in Ukraine

Reportedly Stephen Bruce Unger Jr. was captured Saturday outside Kiev.

Reportedly the U.S. embassy had requested help in taking Unger into custody.

Reportedly Unger had worked as an English instructor in Kiev since arriving in November 2007.

06/22/09 - Guilty Plea and Sentencing

Stephen Bruce Unger Jr. has reportedly pleaded guilty to all charges.

Unger was sentenced to 40 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, and bail jumping.

Michael Palmer, 31, a former wrestling and soccer coach at Alvirne High School in Hudson, New Hampshire has been arrested in Wichita Falls, Texas on allegations of sexually molesting two male students last year in New Hampshire.

It is alleged that Palmer sexually assaulted two male students, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old.

Reportedly the alleged sexual assaults are said to have occurred in Hudson and Nashua, New Hampshire.

Palmer was reportedly originally charged with 60 misdemeanor sexual assault charges for alleged incidents with the 15-year-old and with 30 misdemeanor sexual assault charges for alleged incidents with the 16-year-old.

Palmer was also charged with four counts of simple assault and two counts of criminal threatening on an additional 18-year-old victim.

Reportedly, Palmer’s employment with the school system ended in May.

Bond for Palmer was set in the amount of $100,000 and he waived an extradition hearing.

Aaron Maddox, a former ISS teacher and coach at Penland Middle School in Kountze, Texas has reportedly been indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on charges of improper relationship between an educator and a student and indecency with a child.

Reportedly, one female student accuses Maddox of having sexual contact with her, while other girls have accused him of improper touching and behavior.

Following his indictment, Maddox reportedly turned himself into to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and was subsequently released on bond totaling $200,000.

Maddox was placed on administrative leave in April of this year when the allegations surfaced and subsequently turned in his resignation.
