Jerry L. Angus, 52, a former health sciences and medical therapy teacher and softball coach at Spring Hill High School, in Columbia, Tennessee has been indicted by a Davidson County grand jury on 17 counts of sex offenses ranging from rape to sexual battery.

Reportedly the charges stem from an incident on April 2 at the Opryland Hotel.
In May of this year, Angus was charged with five counts of sexual battery by an authority figure in a case alleging a student victim.
Angus was subsequently indicted by a Maury County grand jury.
1/16/08 - Not Guilty In Maury County
On Monday a Maury County jury found Jerry Angus NOT GUILTY of the sexual battery of a 15-year-old female student.
Angus faces one more trial in Maury County and additional charges in Davidson County.
08/26/08 - Guilty
After 3 days of deliberations, a jury has found Jerry Angus guilty on charges of misconduct, sexual battery by an authority figure and statutory rape. Angus was found not guilty of one count of sexual battery by an authority figure and one count of rape.
The incidents for which Angus was found guilty occurred at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee last year.
Sentencing is set for October 3rd.
10/07/08 - Sentencing Delayed
The sentencing of Jerry Angus has been delayed until October 24th.
