Robb Arlon Hunt, 30, of San Jose, California a teacher at Homestead High School in Cupertino, California has been arrested on charges he had sex with a 17-year-old female student from Lynbrook High School, while he was a student teacher there during the 2005-2006 school year.

The inquiry began when police learned on May 17 that a student at Lynbrook High School was having a sexual relationship with a teacher and police were dispatched to the school where they conducted an investigation. It us unknown how the relationship was discovered or where the alleged encounters took place. Police allege that Hunt had several sexual encounters with the student in the last few months.

Hunt who was arrested on May 23rd has been placed on mandatory administrative leave.

04/30/08 - Sentencing Date Set

Sentencing for Robb Hunt, who pleaded no contest on February 11th, has been set for June 2.

At that hearing it will be determined if Hunt must register as a sex offender.

06/11/08 - Sentencing

Robb Hunt has been sentenced to one year in Santa Clara County Jail and five years of probation.

Judge Kenneth Barnum handed Hunt two “breaks” in not sentencing him to state prison and not requiring Hunt to register as a sex offender. The judge aid that Hunt “demonstrated remorse and a will to turn his life around”.

Kelli Jo Camp, 29, working as a temporary teacher at New Cuyama High School, in Santa Barbara, CA was arrested yesterday on charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Camp in addition to working at New Cuyama High School is also reportedly a manager at Valarie House, a group home in Santa Maria, CA and has had also been teaching at Righetti High School in Santa Maria earlier this school year and was also a cheerleading instructor at Lakeview Junior High in Orcutt, CA and at Central Coast Shock Wave cheerleading center in Santa Maria.

Camp is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old New Cuyama High School student.

School administrators became suspicious of an inappropriate relationship over the past several months after frequent visits to her classroom by male students, finding photos of the victim in Camp’s desk, and greeting cards from the victim “expressing his love for her,” according to Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Erik Raney.

11/27/07 - Guilty Plea Entered

According to the Santa Maria Times, Kelli Jo Camp has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old male student at New Cuyama High School.

The report indicates that Camp will appear in court Friday at which time she will be sentenced to one year in jail to be followed by five years probation.

As part of a plea agreement a grand theft count against Camp was dropped by prosecutors.

11/30/07 - Sentencing

Kelli Jo Camp was today officially sentenced to one year in jail and 5 years probation.

Camp will NOT have to register as a sex offender.

Jeri Deanne Perez, 38, of Gilbert, Arizona a former student teacher at South Valley Junior High School in Gilbert was sentenced today to 10 years in prison and a life-time of probation in the wake of her guilty plea last month to three felony counts of attempted sexual contact with a minor.

Perez’s victim was a 14-year-old boy that attend a different school than the one where Perez taught. The sexual contact took place on six separate occasions during the time frame from November through December of 2006.

In addition to her sentence Perez will be required to register as a sex offender.

Jeri Deanne Perez, 38, of Gilbert, Arizona and a student teacher at South Valley Junior High School in Gilbert has entered a guilty plea to three felony counts of attempted sexual contact with a minor.

Perez was arrested for having sex with a 14-year-old boy who was not a student at the school where she worked. The boy is the son of one of her friends.

Perez is now facing up to 15 years in prison and will have to remain a registered sex offender for the rest of her life.
