Walter Stiehm

Walter Stiehm, a student at Appalachian State University who was serving as a student teacher at East Wilkes High School in Ronda, North Carolina has reportedly been arrested on allegations of felony sex crimes involving a student.

Reportedly, Stiehm is charged with sex offense involving a student and taking indecent liberties with a student.

Investigators have indicated the alleged sex crimes were committed off campus.

Reportedly, Stiehm had been working at the school for about six weeks and was dismissed when the allegations came to light.

Stiehm is reportedly free on bond.

Amy Miller

Amy Miller, 23, reportedly a student at Binghamton University and a student teacher at Union-Endicott High School and Owego Free Academy also in New York has been arrested on allegations of having sex with a former student who is reportedly a 15-year-old girl.

Reportedly, Miller is charged with criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.

State Police say the alleged relationship between Miller and student took place within the last year and that the student does not attend Union Endicott schools.

Reportedly, Miller has been suspended from all course work by Binghamton University.

Following her arrest on Sunday, Miller appeared in Town of Tioga Court and was reportedly being held in the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

Scott Alan McQuigg

Scott Alan McQuigg, 45, who last year worked as a student teacher and substitute teacher at Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho has reportedly been arrested in an Internet sting conducted by Ada County sheriff’s detectives.

McQuigg is reportedly charged with sexual enticement of a minor over the Internet.

It is alleged that McQuigg chatted online with a detective posing as an underage teenage girl.

It is further alleged that he wrote that he wanted to have sexual contact with the girl, and arranged a meeting at a public place.

When McQuigg showed up for the alleged meeting he was taken into police custody.

Following his arrest, McQuigg was reportedly held in the Ada County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
