Rebecca Ann Harvey, 33, a special education teacher at the Pottsgrove High School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania has reportedly been arrested on allegations of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student.

Rebecca Harvey is reportedly charged with two counts of corruption of minors.

Harvey came to the attention of authorities last Tuesday after an officer on patrol alleges that he discovered Harvey and the boy in the backseat of her car in Pottstown. It is further alleged that the vehicles windows were fogged up and an investigation allegedly revealed Harvey and the student inside the car were “scrambling” to put their clothes on.

It is also alleged that Harvey told police she thought the boy was actually 18-years-old and wasn’t aware that he was a student at the high school. Police say that Harvey told them “It’s a big school”.

Allegedly the boy has told investigators that he babysat Harvey’s children and that the sexual relationship developed in February.

Harvey was reportedly released on bond following her arrest.

09/29/09 – Not Guilty Plea

Rebecca Ann Harvey has waived her arraignment in Montgomery County Court and pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of corruption of a minor.

Harvey will now be scheduled for trial.

She remains free on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Marilyn Price, a former special education teacher’s aide at Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Texas has reportedly arrested and charged on allegations of a sexual relationship with a male student.

Reportedly, Price has been charged with indecency with a child and improper relationship between educator and student.

The alleged victim is a member of the freshman class at Hamilton High School.

Reportedly, Price turned herself in to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month and was subsequently released on $10,000 bond.

Price came to the attention of authorities in late August by way of complaint by the alleged victim.

Price who was initially suspended with pay, subsequently resigned from the school system.

Valerie Roesler, 27, reportedly a special education teacher at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria, Virginia has been arrested after police allegedly caught her in a car with a 15-year-old boy early Sunday morning.

Roesler is reportedly charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and public intoxication.

It is alleged that when police discovered Roesler and the boy in the vehicle, just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, that Roesler was drunk.

It is further alleged that the boy snuck out his home without the knowledge of his parents and met Roesler on the parking lot where they were discovered by police.

Police say that the boy is not a student of Roesler’s nor is he a student in the Fairfaix County school system.

Police also say it does not appear that Roesler provided alcohol to the boy and Roesler has not been charged with any sex-related crimes, although the investigation is continuing.

Roesler has reportedly been placed on unpaid leave by the school system.

09/22/09 – Case Update

Reportedly Valerie Roesler has resigned her position with the school.

Police say new evidence suggests Roesler was having a sexual relationship with the boy and that according to a search warrant affidavit, police found text messages suggesting the two were meeting for sex.

Allegedly the investigating officer was able to learn from the minor that during the past several months, Roesler and the minor have been involved in a ‘more intimate relationship.’
